I am thinking about getting the Ninja Low shoes. Sand in San Diego is getting a bit hot and playing volleyball barefoot painful. I just wanted to point out that the name you chose -- ZEM -- means Ground and/or Earth in Slovakian.
I like that your acronym has a meaning which still applies to your product...since while wearing ZEM shoes you are closer to the ground.
Just getting into the barefoot running craze, and would love to find something more affordable than the Vibram Five Fingers. Problem is, I don't want to buy something without trying it on first. Aren't there any retailers on the West Coast (Pacific Northwest) that are or will soon be carrying the Zems?
I've been trying to get ahold of these in Canada for quite a while, to no avail. The 'Canadian Distributer' that customer service directed me to has yet to respond to my Inquiries after almost two weeks. After trying their customer service again, I have yet to receive a reply.
There are no remotely local shops that sell these, and no online Canadian distributers. Heck, I can't even find an American distributer that ships to Canada!

Just giving some positive feedback! I put a pair of socks under my zem shoes and went running in the snow. I stayed out of the wet stuff, and it worked great. So far I've done a 2 and a 5 miler, next I'll do an 8.
I want ZEM booties ! Casual and Comfortable to relax in yet Rugged and Durable for most any sport!
I'm from Belgium (Europe) and i'll be happy to wear Zem's in the near future. They seem great! Will be perhaps the first here in my country to wear them

As a Command Fitness Leader for the US Navy, I use a lot of P90-x, Insanity, and running to get some of my shipmates back within Navy fitness standards. Until I got the Zems about a month ago, I was having a lot of trouble doing some of the workouts which require a lot of pivoting and twisting without getting too frustrated. If I did it barefoot for better balance and a more natural feel, I'd slip and fall because I didn't have enough grip. Sneakers meant too much grip and I would sometimes twist a knee or roll an ankle. The Zem Booties are just right... I haven't had any issues at all!
Additionally, I've taken to barefoot run running in them. So far, I've logged over 50 miles and my leg strength has improved exponentially! My endurance has also gone up and my run times are dropping!
I can't recommend them to my friends enough and the feeling of barefoot freedom without the risk of barefoot damage makes me wonder how anyone could ever do without!
These would be great for my karate school I have many parents concerned about their childrens feet and these are less expensive than martial arts shoes do you have a catalog I can order for my students.

The shoes have been fantastic for running on the beach, especially
in deep sand. While running in that deep sand with my Zem, it takes less than 15 minutes to begin feeling a terrific burn in my leg muscles. That's the only strain I feel though, no pain associated with pounding sidewalks and streets in the city. It is truly the closest thing to beautiful barefoot training.
Very cool footwear and I mean cool! It keeps your feet cool from the hot sand even when you are running along the afternoon sun, as you can guess they feel great too!
